GenTran Prewired "Vintage" Transfer Switches

Our GenTran "vintage" transfer switches offer the BEST value at the best price. Safe, proven design eliminates the danger of backfeeding generator power onto utility lines. These transfer switches are made with the same UL Listed components and manufactured to the same specifications as our original "vintage" transfer switches introduced in 1982.

Five models are now available - each one accommodates 6 or 10 household circuits (15 or 20 amps) in the house like lights, refrigerator, furnace, etc. The aluminum enclosure features external mounting feet for fast installation next to an existing electrical panel indoors (surface mount only) and knockouts for hardwiring. A closing plate (models 20216V, 30216V and 30310V only) covers the inlet cavity when hardwiring is desired. A handle tie is included for 2-pole circuits on models 20216V, 30216V and 30310V for appliances such as a well pump. Each unit includes supplemental push-to-reset circuit breakers that are in use when the generator is running, dual wattmeters to help balance generator loads for better performance, a power inlet for fast cord connection, 18" of flexible conduit and all wires clearly marked.

During an outage, just connect a power cord from the generator to the inlet on this transfer switch, and flip the individual 3-position switches from UTIL to GEN. Made in the USA. Standard 2-year warranty against manufacturing or mechanical defects.
